One of the leading aspirants jostling for Kwara South senatorial ticket under the auspice of opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has denied the rumours spreading by some mischief makers that he has quit out of the race of the senate ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The Esie born Aeronautic engineer cum politician made this known to Legendlens.com when he contacted our correspondent. Adeyemi said that he was awared that some elements who are agents of some jittery politician are spreading falsehoods and fallacies that he has agreed to concede his senatorial ambition to other aspirants, an information which he described as laughable and figment of imagination of the rumour peddlers. In his statement he said, “I was told some people are peddling rumour in Offa axis that some igbomina elders have approached me and I have agreed to step down my aspiration to my fellow party aspirant”.
He also said “When I heard about the rumour through some of my well wishers, I laughed because I did not remember when and where I made this declaration and also on what ground will I step down?”.
“I am not surprised and also I am unbothered with all this because our aspiration is not personal quest. Our aspiration is borne out of our love for the good people of Kwara South that deserve the very best representation. We are looking to bring a new vision and practice of a leader servant to the people. The people of Kwara South want representatives that are responsive and serve with a sense of humility. These are characteristics that Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun”
Recalled that many party faithfuls and councils of Obas in Kwara South blessed the ambition of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun.
