A leading governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, Alh. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha has bemoaned the level of governmental decadence and neglect of the State, stressing that the revenue accrued to the State since the return of democracy isn’t justified with the realities on ground in the State.
Lukman who made this declaration while addressing journalist at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja while submitting his governorship expression of interest form this afternoon, promised to massively transform the state to be seen as modernised and developed state in no distant future.
He bemoaned the sardonic state of the indigenes of the State, stressing that “In a society like ours were unemployment is at it’s highest, insecurity is at its peak, infrastructure have completely collapsed, then nothing will in all honesty work in such a society.
“My almost 3 decades in the financial sector where I have seen the practicability of developmental financing without placing unnecessary burden on the purse of the government, have provided me with the necessary knowledge and contact needed to achieve a complete turnaround.
“I find it hard rationalising why the current realities isn’t telling a story of the revenue that has accrued to the State. The revenue is largely unaccounted for, someone must definitely explain how our money was spent.
” The revenue that has accrued to Kwara if well utilised would have transformed Kwara to a modernised state.
The governorship hopeful, who is the Chairman of SOBI FM, however, said the people of the state should must remain resolute in there demand for a State we all would be proud of.
